The PESCI is conducted by either three experienced vocationally registered General Practitioners or two experienced vocationally registered General Practitioners and a Community Representative.
Become an accredited General Practitioner PESCI Assessor and be part of the health workforce solution.
Health Workforce Assessment Victoria (HWAV) is AMC (Australian Medical Council) accredited to conduct Pre-employment Structured Clinical Interviews (PESCI) for international medical graduates (IMG) seeking registration to work in General Practice across Australia. We work in a collaborative arrangement with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) in Victoria and our current clients include the Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) and commercial recruiters seeking to qualify IMG candidates for registration.
We are currently seeking additional casual Assessors to meet the increased demand from potential general practice IMG and employers.
To be eligible, you will already be a registered, Vocationally Recognised General Practitioner (with at least two years post-fellowship) with an interest in participating in this vital professional assessment process. You will have experience as a Medical Educator or examiner for AMC, University or general practice college or recent experience supervising and/or mentoring medical students/registrars including responsibility for their in-practice assessment.
These casual positions are ideal for General Practitioners who are seeking additional work while broadening their skill set and contributing to this important process. Assessors are paid attractive hourly rates.
